Gor Mahia coach Mihic accuses his own assistants of sabotage

Gor Mahia coach Sinisa Mihic kicked his assistant coaches out of training on Friday following a heated debate at their training ground, it has emerged.
According to players that spoke to Radio Generation Sport on phone on condition of anonynimity, the incident took place at the Stima Club grounds where Gor usually train and involved team Manager Vincent Nyaoro and assistant coach Michael Nam.
Mihic's other assistant Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno was not at the training session.
"The coaching staff was involved in a heated argument and eventually the assistant coach and TM were forced to leave, the source stated. It was a heated argument about player selection," the source stated.
It took several hours for the team training to commence thanks to the standoff that was eventually resolved once the duo left.
Efforts to reach Gor chair Ambrose Rachier also bore no fruit.
When reached for contact by Radio Generation Sport, Mihic did not respond but in an interview earlier on with Nation Africa, he stated that he is unhappy with the conduct of his technical team, accusing them of forcing him to adopt players and tactics he does not approve.
"I don't want to work with them because I do not want to be blackmailed. I even lent them money, he stated. I have used my personal money to facilitate some of the activities we have. Why are they trying to sabotage me?" He posed.
He continued with the attack on his assistants, saying that in no uncertain terms would he field players he does not want.
"I can't out of influence play those who are not following instructions. Kenyan players are even better than some of those they are asking me to play. I've never seen anything like this," said Mihic.
When reached for comment, both Nam and Zico were unresponsive.
Gor take on KCB in the Kenya Premier League Sunday, a must win match for Gor as they chase yet another KPL title.
Gor, on 43 points, are currently five points behind leaders Kenya Police with nine matches left to play.
